Computer Technology
Wayland Academy recognizes the influence and educational advantages available through integrating technology with the curriculum. Therefore we boast one of the largest per pupil and up-to-date computer labs in the area. Students in Kindergarten through grade 6 use computers for learning in all disciplines: art, reading, spelling, math, creative writing, social studies, etc.
With internet access, students learn to research topics for school reports, send e-mail, and create their own web page. Students are encouraged to create their own multi-media presentations using clip-art, animation, sound, digital images and more. Students become comfortable with using computers for more than just word processing and begin seeing computers as useful tools for learning and exploring all aspects of the world around them.
